Punjab Institute of Languages and Culture (PILAC) is situated in Punjabi Complex near Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. PILAC was founded in September 2004. Patronage, promotion and development of Punjabi Language were the main reasons behind its creation. PILAC is also working to conserve, protect, promote and enhance the art and cultural wealth of Punjab. It advises the Government on policy issues relating to promotion of Punjabi Language.
PILAC collects preserves and arranges classical and modern Punjabi Literature books. It is also working for projection and promotion of crafts of Punjab along with preserving folk art and folk songs in their purest form. Its duty is also to enhance Punjabi Language and empower it to work as a medium of promoting love and brotherhood. PILAC has worked with various institutions to achieve its objectives. These include Punjab Museum, Punjab Art Gallery, Punjabi Library, Radio Station FM-95, Punjab Rung, Punjab Auditorium, Punjab Cafe and Punjabi Magazine "Trinjan".
