Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium : Venue Information

Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium is a national hockey stadium situated in Karachi, Pakistan. It was formerly known as Hockey Club of Pakistan and has 30,000 seating capacity. It has hosted matches of the Hockey Champions Trophy in 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1986 and 1992. It also sometimes serves as venue of other sports.

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) renamed Hockey Club of Pakistan to Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium on 10 July 2016 in order to pay tribute to the late philanthropist. Edhi started his charitable organization named Edhi Foundation in Karachi in 1951. He spread it to all over Pakistan and ran it entirely with private donations. He transformed it into the biggest ambulance service in the world.
